Watch the birdie

Further to my last post ‘Temporary Tourists,’ I was able to snap a few bird shots yesterday because we went for a coffee and a swim on the town beach and I remembered to take the camera this time. I waited for ages to see if any Sandpipers were still around and, as I was about to give up and went for a stroll, camera at the ready, this little fella came to see me…

Whilst I was waiting to see the Sandpiper, I tried a couple of ‘seagull on the rocks’ shots, and I was quite proud with what I got when I uploaded them to the laptop when I got home…

And, to close, here are some others I took on the beach, on Tuesday October 4th, with low humidity helping the light to be just perfect…

  1. Snapppppp!!! We saw them in Methoni last week on the beach , a pair of them, perhaps they were on their way to Crete??? 😄 Best regards, Porridge Oats 📸

    • Hello Margaret, lovely to hear from you. They’re such lovely little birds aren’t they (well, not so little, I suppose). My photos still don’t do their colouring justice, especially their wine-red legs!
